Why do the Media love controversy

   I have tried to watch the cable news coverage of the current political landscape; it seems that all you get is personal opinions from the newscasters instead of unbiased reporting.  Why is it more news worthy for the reporter to give opinions instead of reporting news and allowing the public to form its own opinion?
